Following the band’s performance as direct support for Skillet at Summerfest 2022, Nashville’s rock trio Lines In The Sky is shooting out of the gate at full speed in 2023. Brothers Jesse and Bowman Brock, along with bassist Nick Mills, just dropped new singles, “Another Place” and “Window”, both on the heels of fan favorite “Speed”, preceded by undeniable technical-swagger rock single, “Abysmal Situations. The band’s EP Insight dropped on April 1, 2022, with the first single, an assertive reconstruction of The Police classic, “Synchronicity I”, released on January 7. LITS’ newfound synergy, intensely satisfying musicianship, and energized full-band vocals and harmonies stir anticipation for the EP’s other new tracks, including originals “Taciturnity”, out on March 4, and title track “Insight”, as well as all the new music in the 2022 pipeline still in production. Insight is the band’s first release since 2019 single “Thalassaphobia”, which premiered in PROG UK/Louder, and its three previous well-received albums “Beacon”, “Parallel Travel”, and “Hilasterion”. LITS returned to the stage at its packed-out EP release show in its hometown of Nashville, played Summerfest 2022 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has already been confirmed for a fan-favorite 2024 progressive rock festival in Florida soon to be announced. Lines In The Sky’s recent Nashville shows have been presented by Nashville’s rock radio, WBUZ 102.9 The Buzz, and the band is announcing more upcoming tour dates following its successful Florida mini-tour in January 2023.
Our Songwriting & Video Process
“It all begins with the music. Then we get a visual idea from the notes, chords, and melodies. An emotion, a reaction, an image, a visual concept. Then come the lyrics. Strange order of things, maybe, but that is how all of our songs have come into their final forms. Sometimes they are shape shifters and re-create themselves. Sometimes they recycle themselves into separate entities.
We respect the process.
Then we carefully turn over these creations to our trusted partners so that they can create more imagery that tells the story of the music. Sometimes the stories and vision match, and sometimes we get a bonus story. Many thanks to our creative partners: Chris Baldani of Cloverland Sound, Nick Lobel of StereoPulse Productions, legendaries Richard Dodd and Tim Palmer, Chris Dean Rogers of Hao Graphics, Garrett Hayes of Kirkwood Productions, Casey Pierce of Plastic Diamonds, Adam Warne, Mike Hoffort, Casey Moore of Casey Moore Photo, and many others who have helped us continue to tell our stories in music, art, photographs, and videos.”
