Lines In The Sky
Parallel Travel is Lines In The Sky's brilliant 2016 album, the band's second full-length release. As with 2014's Hilasterion album, Parallel Travel was recorded and produced by the band, and expertly engineered by Grammy-winner Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, David Bowie, U2, Robert Plant) and mastered by legendary Grammy-winner and mentor to the band, Richard Dodd (The Traveling Wilburys, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Kings of Leon). LITS considers itself as a modern progressive rock band, similar to Coheed and Cambria and Rush, but the depth and breadth of the dynamics on this album belie the genre. The beautiful opener, "History", takes up where "Prison" on Hilasterion left off, then the 10-track album kicks off into an energetic realm featuring "Nereus", "Planet", jazz-influenced "Admiral", the perennial crowd-pleaser "Threads", heavy "Feed The Wolves", and finally the emotional progressive blend of blues-rock, "Ocean".
